Definition: Disinfectant, Disinfection apparatus, Indicator, Sanitary product and other products related to human health included in Catalogue of Production Categories of Disinfection Products

New disinfection products

Definition: Disinfectants and Disinfection apparatuses produced by utilizing new materials, new technology and new sterilization principle.

Disinfectant

Definition: A preparation used to kill microorganisms on the transmission medium to meet the requirements of disinfection or sterilization.

Disinfection apparatus

Definition: Devices or equipment used to kill microorganisms on the transmission medium to meet the requirements of disinfection or sterilization, indicators not included.

Classification standards of Disinfection product

Indicator

Biological indicator

A test system with specific resistance to the specified sterilization process and containing live microorganisms.

Chemical indicator

A test system manifesting the variable change of one or several scheduled process according to chemical or physical changes resulting from exposure to a sterilization process.

Sanitary product

Sanitary products include Antibacterial agent, Bacteriostat, contact lens care products (including contact lens care solution, contact lens preservation solution, contact lens cleaner), wet wipes, hygiene wet wipes and other sanitary products.

Agents directly contacting intact skin or mucous membrane of human body with certain bactericidal effect

Note: products used for feet, eyes, nails, armpits, scalp, hair, nasal mucosa and anorectal of human body are not included in the management of disinfection products.

Wet wipe

Products with nonwovens, fabrics, wood pulp composites, wood pulp paper, etc. as the carrier, with raw materials such as production water, preservatives or other auxiliary components added in an appropriate amount, cleaning the treated objects(such as hands, skin, mucous membrane and ordinary object surface).

Hygiene wet wipe

It is a wet wipe with nonwovens, fabrics, wood pulp composites, wood pulp paper, etc. as the carrier, with an appropriate amount of raw materials such as production water and disinfectant added, which can clean and sterilize the treated objects (such as hands, skin, mucous membrane and ordinary object surface).

Various daily necessities thrown away instantly after use, directly contacting the human body, used for the purpose of human physiological hygiene or health care (antibacterial or bacteriostatic)

Note: Including sanitary towels, sanitary pads, sanitary plugs (built-in cotton strips), diapers(pads, paper), diaper pads, paper towels (paper), sanitary cotton (sticks, swabs, balls), cosmetic cotton (paper, towels), gloves/fingerstall, paper tableware, etc. Among them, paper towels (paper) include facial tissues, napkins, pocket tissues, hand towels, sanitary paper (except toilet paper), etc.
